Yesterday i was given tickets for the american idol party at Alexis for the screening of the show brought to us by Starworld and CIMB bank. It was hosted by Adam Carruthers and featured a special guest performance by the soulful Najwa. Hors d'oeuvres like mini burgers, caviar on crackers, wantons, tuna sashimi and a host of mini a-may-zing desserst were served in between by very attentive staff who made numerous rounds to where we were standing. It was really cute but i was starving so no pictures. No alcohol served though but Alexis is a bar afterall so any drinking is to be done at the bar. It was alright i guess as i already watch the live telecast version at 6 so this was just more of chilling out with my friends.
So finally American Idol Season 9 is here and it's done. Not much of a fanfare this year except for Simon leaving but there were it's moments. You know, it's about time for a change but for now, i have to take a side and team Crystal Bowersox it is! I think she has pure talent but i am aslo going 50/50 with the more commercial Lee Dewyze. He gets half my support for that damn voice he has and a couple of great songs he sang. I wished he would be more creative àla Davd Cook but he fell flat in that department. And as we all know, Lee won in the end. So to another year of lackluster-ness TV entertainment.
