Jam packed weekend.

You know it's a productive weekend when you have done all. This particular Saturday & Sunday was crazy! Firstly in the morning, sis and i rushed over to Low Yat Plaza coz we wanted to meet up with a travel agent to get some things planned. Parking was horrendous, it drizzled as we made our way out of the plaza and it was so pack tis early. I needed to get a cover for my iPod too and had to brave at least 3 floors of shops and lots of confusion before settling for one with an iphone signboard. The only thing that salvage our trip downtown was lunch at Sushi Zanmai. Great service, quiet unlike the one in OU & Midvalley and yeah, the food is good as always.

We rushed home quickly after lunchies cause the air-conditioning service guy was coming over. I was trying to hustle them out before 5pm but was delayed cause my damn guards won't let them in without a consent form from the condo management cause it was a Saturday and no renovation work can be done. I was gonna be late for Rotary District Awards & Handover Nite 2010 at Selangor Club, KL as i had to dress up and catch a cab as early so that i won't get caught in the evening dinner crowd jam. Anyway, the night went well. I was kinda working at this event as a escort with Nisa, Nur, Mei and Kylie. haha.No, it is not that kind of "escort"! We were merely escorting winners up the stage and literally standing up there smiling as much as we could. Hell, i did so much smiling that my jaw aches. But we were good sports and still smiling even after the dinner was over like in the pictures below.

After the event which ended almost around 12am, Nisa and i headed over to Zouk Cafe, The Gardens where the guys were already drinking rounds of vodka, tequila and more vodka. Luckily, we had some beer before we left Selangor Club coz obviously our friends were already on their 2nd (3rd perhaps?) round. I drew the line at the tequila shots (i know!) after doing vodka shots beforehand cause it did not go down too well with the Shepherd's pie, some leftover cold longan dessert and yam/bean paste crispy cakes from the awards dinner. In fact i was so deadbeat tired by 2am when Zouk Cafe tried to kick us out so that they could close :)

But instead of going home, some of us contiune on at Ronnie Q's, Bangsar for last round of beer and to watch England vs USA which ended in a draw. I may not be a football fan but England sure did screw up with that little mistake :) So to console those poor England supporter friends of mine, we had some yummy supper over at Devi's Corner after the game ended so that they can bitch post-match and i can pretend to listen but all i was doing was enjoying my thosai. haha.

Sunday was spent house hunting early in the morning. However,we only ended up spending the whole time in one place - Saville Residences, Old Klang Road. Our agent let us view a couple of units, the pool area, gym, carpark and we were pretty much sold on this place. It was more than perfect. Loving the floor to celiling windows, huge walk-in shoe closet, outdoor kitchen for cooking so you won't mess the real kitchen and the fact that it has an breakfast bar table. Love! If you guys don't already know, i am selling off my current place and moving out to a much centralized location hence Saville which is located just opposite Midvalley Mall. Oh which brings me to the view of the place which is facing but of course, Midvalley and aslo of Federal Highway too. So if you need a traffic report in the future, you know who to call! ;)

After that we were all hyped out about moving and headed over to Ikea for inspiration and to buy a whole load of storage boxes for the big move later. Had sardine canai and one of the best milo ais at Teh Tarik Place, The Curve and later for dinner, it was none other than some good ol' swedish meatballs. They still make em' so yummy and we always request for extra lingonberry sauce! Noms.

Ok, gotta go recuperate coz so exhausted can fall asleep like now

The Raffles Auction.

Well believe it or not, i made it through my first term. Two weeks more and i am done with the hardest part. Beginnings are the toughest - new routine, new place, new environment, new friends. Its all part of the "introductory" parcel of life. I can't tell whether i love or loath the place yet but all i can say is that i am grateful for now. Things happen for a reason and there must be one for me ending up in this tiny bungalow corner in the middle of the city.

To wrap up our term, one of our marketing projects was to hold an auction. It was pretty fun and we didn't think we could pull it off in less than 3 weeks. Plus it was held a week before finals and we were going to be graded on this project. The guys drop by to visit and of course to survey the "location". Thanks! We sold off about 65% of the items and the money will be heading off to a charity that is yet to be named.

Till next sem x

Home is where the heart is.

Langkawi Island, August, 14th 2009 x

today i am missing summer.
i am yearning for the heat of the sky upon my skin,
the tickle of the blue beyond between my toes;
the burst of spontaneity for every whim and fancy i have;
the laughter, the chatter, the warm feelings linger in the heavy air; on beautiful drunken evenings.

i miss you people. please come back for Summer x

All that glitters is liquid gold.

Happy Beerbeer Day!

Celebrating their 2nd Anniversary at Tom, Dick and Harry's, TTDI with a couple of friends.
It was free flow baby and the atmosphere was nice, warm and golden. I kid you not. TDH is a nice casual chill out place in the suburbs where you can drop by if you don't feel like dressing up. One more thing, they serve food too and i heard one of their desserts on the menu is deep-fried Mars and Snickers bars with vanilla ice cream. Damn, that sounds actually good. Will be back there one day. On the other hand, it's not all about the place but aslo the sponsors for all the alco! You can visit beerbeer.org for more details and more events like this one. Thanks alot. It's was a really good night.
