Of barefoot Kelly & a whole lot of British love.

Ann + I, Kelly Clarkson's Tour '10.

I am a very happy girl and you know why? Finally, good things are coming to our shores. I can't believe that it's only April and omg, i think i have been to three of the best concerts/ live showcase ever already in the past two months.

First there was Placebo @ Life Centre, KL .
I have to admit, i wasn't even a fan to begin with. I knew probably just two songs and that was because they were overplayed on the radio's just before the band was here. I knew some hardcore fans were like going crazy trying to buy up the tickets but i got mine for free & at the the last minute courtesy of Fly Fm. hehe. Anyway, i am very pleased to say by the end of the night, i had a few of their songs additively stuck in my head. I must say that they are a really, really interesting group. Let's say eclectic & definitely not mainstream. But good job, it was really enjoyable.

Just last weekend was Kelly Clarkson, All I Ever Wanted Tour @ Bukit Jalil.
Oh man, how i got to the concert was a miracle. Firstly, i had only one ticket & i didn't wanna go alone. Then on Sunday, my sis #1 said she managed to get two tickets & i was ready to go till the person i was taking couldn't make it back to KL on time. I wasn't going by then coz i haven't got the tics yet and if they were the cheapest seats, then there's no point. Needless to say an hour before showtime, i find out that the tickets i was getting was courtesy of StarWorld & both tics were worth RM 700. That's front row, mosh pit worthy views! The concert was really good as Kelly sang every hit song she has. The whole stadium was continuously singing alongside in unison. Btw did i mention she did a cover of Kings of Leon "Used Somebody"? Everyone went nuts. I appreciate how old school her concert were - sing hit songs, dance around, do some awesome covers & finally, no "i love Malaysia" sugar coating unlike some acts. We love you just the way you are!

And just yesterday was Stereophonics @ Life Centre, KL.
Homigod! I swear i was gonna pass out when i heard the rumour that they were coming & when they confirmed their gig, it was so surreal. Do you know how much i love Stereophonics? Anyway, as usual i contemplated buying tickets. I know, you are going "what!?". Lemme explain first. As usual, i couldn't think of anyone who wanted to go for it. No one seemed to be a fan except my sis #2 who in a twisted irony got VIP tickets for free & was going with her friends. To cut the story short, as usual everything boiled down to the last minute. So two hours before the showcase, chris who had to endure me complaining that no one wanted to go decided to buy me a ticket as a belated birthday present. Haha. Thank you! Anyway, it was the best gig ever i have been. Stereophonics was so insanely awesome and mind blowing as Micaela put it too. Alot of people agree that they sounded great playing live than in their records & i couldn't agree more. I managed to score great views from upstairs & together with my sister + friends, a bunch of really rowdy American/British & some other hardcore fans, we were positively going nuts up there. Did i mention they were selling alcohol? This pretty much got the majority of people really relaxed which in my opinion made things more fun & loose. This is definitely my #1 favourite for '10.

In the past, artist/bands like these don't make it to our shores ever but someone out there must be working real hard to bring them all. I sincerely love you man whoever you are x

Gourmet Burger Diner.

Starter - Roast Pumpkin Salad (RM20) . It has warm buttery roasted pumpkin, rocket leaves, croutons, Parmesan shavings & a mustard/honey dressing.

Howard from New York.
He comes down to Malaysia every other few years and travels extensively around the world. Welcome back!

When we took him out and asked him what he wanted to eat for lunch he sheepishly said "I feel really bad that i am here in Msia but all i wanna eat is a good burger". So we brought him to TDG and to feel better, he ordered a Bomba Burger (RM25) which has spicy chili paste and smokey fried green chillies in it.
"At least it has chillies in it!" said Howard smiling.

This was my burger that i shared with the sis , Italian Mozza Burger (RM34). Check out the meat patty. That's 180g of pure meat fresh and succulent as promised by them. Takes 15 minutes to arrive as they don't believe in pre cooking them. So they make it when you order only. Plus everything is made out of scratch - pickles, sauces, fries and even their bottled sauces

The other sister at the far corner ordered a Tarragon Mushroom Chicken Burger (RM28). Didn't really get to try that cause i was too busy trying to wolf down my own burger with my hands unlike her who as pictured, is using a knife and fork. pfft.

Having conversations after the meal but noone could do dessert cause we were all too stuffed.

Happy burger people.

You | Me

'Cause your love could send a rocket up to the moon
Your love hit me just like a lead balloon
So let's make a wish, seal it with a kiss, my baby
You know we've got to stop meeting like this.

Addition

Say hello to my new super hot red notebook.
Lightweight, ultra portable, sleek and handbag friendly. What more can a girl want from a gadget?
Ok so it's gonna be sorta mine only coz i am mulching this off my sister but nevertheless, it will have it fair share of time with me especially when i have classes and all my notes are now online based from my raffles google group or sent to me via email.
With this baby, not so shy to whip out this one in the library or cafeteria rather than my super old school heavy like 3 kg but super efficient and awesome Linux based IBM Thinkpad.
Hey, i am in a fashion school now and i reckon those fashion students can get pretty judgemental. Cannot show anything remotely fugly around them seriously. They will have meltdowns.

Btw, talking about handbag friendly. There are now more electronic gadgets in my bag than makeup. They outnumber them 4 : 1. Four as in gadgets such as laptop, iPod, phone, camera etc. One as in my Kiehls lip gloss and that is because it's so insignificantly small.

Now, that's a real growing problem. Someone told me once that there are no such thing as a decent conversation during meal times anymore. Conversations are a dying breed. People are just constantly on their gadgets - including me, guilty me. Lets say that if i am not on Twitter twitting about the meal i am about to eat, i will be whipping out my camera to take pictures of that meal or i will be on foursquare commenting about the place i am eating at. The scary bit is that i do it outta habit now, not even giving any thought. It's undeniable that technology is such an integral part of us.

Anyway with that said, that doesn't mean i gonna love my super hot red notebook any less x

Red Cape.

Maybe sometimes...
you have to stop waiting
for someone to come along
and fix what's wrong.

Maybe..
you have to stop
feeling sorry for yourself
and realize
that no one else
has the right answer.

Maybe sometimes
you just have to be..
your own

I say hey.

I have been a bit tired and overwhelmed and hope to catch up on some much needed sleep over the weekend before it all takes off again in another weekly routine cycle - something which i haven't had in a long time. I used to have an unscheduled life for so long that i am depending on alot of willpower and alarm clocks these days to get me moving. Sometimes, i don't even think. Days just go by without having me to give any thought. Imagine that.

Well, life is good after all and good means busy.

But busy means not sleeping at ungodly hours anymore and not having simply absurd meal times. No more getting into bed only in the wee morning and getting up only at midday plus certainly no having cereal + milk for dinner. Yes i know. It's even extravagant for my standards. This actually means that now, i am fully functioning in the mornings from having the unheard of breakfast meal starting my day to battling in peak hour commute with other normal humans and to now being able to tell people how mornings look like if so they ever ask.

So what has been keeping me going?

My three day classes but four day weekend schedule for this term.
Looking forward to breakfast + lunch.
My daily commute.
Meeting new people every other day.
Getting to play dress up every time i go to college and it's ok.
You guys. Yes you all. I miss you guys :)
Sarawak in July! Then Bangkok, Bali & Langkawi again hopefully travelled by the end of the year.
Also, random day/night trips. It's my guilty pleasure.
Essentially my iPod that has been keeping me sane with hours & hours of killer music.
And lastly, my cravings for stout, a great big barbecue/drinking hoedown, a night long karaoke sing-along, a getaway, my photography projects and for Summer '10.

Collision course.

Let's named it Blinky. Blinky the sock bunny. On board for the drive down to Putrajaya.

The sexy fiery red powerboat - ride for the day. Hello to wind blowing my hair wild.

Ann - the woman with no ordinary hobby.

Wakeboarding that is.

Did i tell you she does jump stunts while being tugged at 27 mph boat speed holding on to a line. It's looks simple but don't be deceive, it's not for all you knitting/sewing/baking kinda girls.

When you say jump, i say how high. Letting loose on the docks.

.....a quiet calm at the end of our day.
